What is Cashback Bonus?
The Discover Card cash rewards program is called the Cashback Bonus Program. The Discover Motiva card makes it easy to earn Cashback Bonus in 2 ways—by paying on time and making purchases. You'll earn up to 1% Cashback Bonus on every purchase. You can also earn a Pay-On-Time Bonus for making your payments on time. There is no limit to the amount of Cashback Bonus you can earn!
What is the 5% Pay-On-Time Bonus?
Pay-On-Time Bonus is a type of Cashback Bonus that you earn for making your payments on time. Each time you pay at least the Minimum Payment Due by the Payment Due Date, you'll earn 5% of your interest charges as a Cashback Bonus. If your payment is late, you pay less than the Minimum Payment Due (or make no payment at all), or your payment is returned unpaid, you will not earn a Pay-On-Time Bonus. The amount of your Pay-On-Time Bonus will be included on your statement in the Cashback Bonus Summary section, along with any Cashback Bonus you may have earned on purchases.
How can I earn a Pay-On-Time Bonus?
When you have a Minimum Payment Due, pay it by the Payment Due Date and you will earn a Pay-On-Time Bonus!
How do you calculate the Pay-On-Time Bonus?
Each month you pay on time, you will receive 5% of your month's interest charges in the form of a Cashback Bonus. Your Pay-On-Time Bonus will be an amount equal to 5% of the Interest Charges on your current balance, which may include previous purchases, cash advances and balance transfers. The interest used to calculate your Pay-On-Time Bonus is the combined Interest Charges on purchases, balance transfers, and cash advances shown on your billing statement. The amount of these Interest Charges will depend on your current balance, Annual Percentage Rates and payments. You will see the Pay-On-Time Bonus on the next statement.
Will I still earn a Pay-On-Time Bonus if I forget to make a payment?
You must make your payment on time to earn a Pay-On-Time Bonus. Each time you make a late payment, pay less than the Minimum Payment Due (or make no payment at all) or your payment is returned unpaid, you will not earn a Pay-On-Time Bonus.
What if I don't have a Minimum Payment Due?
When you make your next required payment on time, you will earn a Pay-On-Time Bonus.
